All our coffee is shipped fresh, within 48 hours of roasting, in specially designed resealable zip-lock bags, with one-way valves to allow the gasses generated by freshly roasted coffee to escape, while keeping harmful air and moisture out! These special bags are designed to enable you to re-seal your coffee as you use it at home, and keep it in perfect condition right until you drink the last cup.

Many of the 'leading' supermarket brands of coffee beans and pre-ground coffee have been mass-produced and many are roasted overseas taking months to arrive to Australia. Regardless of where the coffee was roasted, all mass-produced coffees are at best roasted several months earlier by the time you buy them from the supermarket.

Unfortunately, coffee starts to go stale a few days after roasting and becomes 'lifeless' very quickly. Whole beans go stale in around 3-4 weeks, and pre-ground coffee becomes stale within a matter of hours. The older the coffee, the less essential oils (crema) and aroma will be released when it is brewed, and it is these elements which make a truely enjoyable coffee experience.
